Notcoin, a Telegram-based game, has garnered the attention of millions of players in recent months, with 35 million total players and six million daily active users at its peak. The game, created by Open Builders, is centered around a golden coin that players tap to earn an in-game currency called Notcoin. Players can climb up a global leaderboard, complete quests, and use power-ups to increase their earnings. The game recently launched a token called NOT on The Open Network (TON), which players could claim based on the in-game coins they mined.

The NOT token went live on May 16 and was listed on major exchanges such as Binance, OKX, and Bybit, with Binance and OKX running staking rewards campaigns for their customers. The token’s market cap peaked near $1.5 billion on launch day, surpassing the market cap of other crypto gaming tokens. Pre-market vouchers were also launched, allowing players to convert their Notcoin into NFT vouchers that could be traded before the token’s launch. Now players can redeem these vouchers for NOT tokens.

While the gameplay of Notcoin is currently paused, it is expected to return with some changes. Companies will fund the game to gain exposure to its large audience, and users can stake their NOT tokens to unlock higher user account levels and potential staking rewards. The team behind Notcoin plans to introduce trading bot functionality to allow users to buy and sell crypto tokens via Telegram. Additionally, the game aims to become a platform for social, viral games, where developers can deploy their own games to engage with its player base.

Notcoin has paved the way for other Telegram-based games in the crypto space, such as Hamster Kombat, Yescoin, Tapswap, and Catizen. As the O.G. game in the Telegram world, Notcoin continues to evolve and expand its features to provide engaging and rewarding experiences for its users. With ongoing developments and collaborations, Notcoin is poised to introduce new features and offerings that will further enhance the gaming experience for its players.
