Outlier Ventures and peaq recently announced the six teams selected for their DePIN Base Camp accelerator program. These teams will receive investments from Borderless Capital, a leading venture capital firm in the DePIN space. The selected startups will focus on developing products in various areas such as IoT hardware networks, decentralized computing and AI, wireless network optimization, cybersecurity, digital twin technology, and cloud gaming and Metaverse.
AYDO, one of the selected startups, is improving DePIN protocols by integrating ESP32 board IoT devices and sensors into various projects. This not only reduces hardware costs for users but also eliminates the need for manufacturing and distribution of hardware. Kaisar Network from Vietnam is dedicated to decentralized computing and AI, offering a GPU-as-a-service model that incentivizes contributors to compile spare GPU resources at a low cost.
Roam Network, based in Finland, allows users to share their mobile network performance data for blockchain-based rewards. By utilizing user-labeled data measurements, Roam Network offers reliable and cost-efficient solutions that aim to improve network services and customer satisfaction. ROVR, a decentralized digital twin platform from Hong Kong, uses high-tech 3D environmental data acquisition devices to support the construction of high-definition 3D AI training for next-generation transportation.
TouchBrick, a cybersecurity startup from the US, focuses on providing a privacy-oriented network of agents that analyze and prevent new threats. This network enables ethical AI training with synthetic data. YOM, another startup, aims to launch the first cloud gaming DePIN on Solana, offering global low latency and near-zero cost cloud gaming on any device without the need for specific game consoles like Xbox or PlayStation.
Overall, these innovative startups are set to drive significant advancements in the DePIN sector by leveraging blockchain and AI technologies to create more secure, efficient, and interconnected systems. With investments from Borderless Capital and support from Outlier Ventures and peaq, these startups have the potential to transform the DePIN space and bring about positive change in the industry.
